Rev. Peter Johnson

Peter’s ambition is to faithfully and passionately preach and teach God’s word to magnify the glory of Christ above all things and to build others up in the faith, love, joy, hope and peace which can only be found in Him.

Prior to leading Hope Church, Peter served as an Army chaplain for nearly twenty years with multiple tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.  He is the recipient of three Bronze Star Medals and six Meritorious Service Medals.

Peter attended Wheaton College and is a graduate of California Polytechnic University and Fuller Theological Seminary.  He is also a graduate of U.S. Army Ranger School.

Peter and Cathy have been married for 25 years,.  They have two college-aged sons, Soren and Lars, and their daughter Bethany attends Bartlesville High School.  The Johnsons love the outdoors and Peter is especially fond of hunting, fly fishing, playing guitar, and reading.

Jason Kreider

Jason came to a saving faith at age 6 after his family’s narrow escape from a house fire.  As he has grown in the Lord, he has found that God uses “mini-fires” in his life to reveal his weak faith, idols, and rebellious heart, but more importantly how God’s “power is made perfect in weakness.  Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me” 2 Cor. 12:9.
Jason completed his doctorate in Chemistry at Oklahoma State University and they moved to Boiling Springs, SC where they first attended a PCA church. They now live north of Bartlesville with their four children Noah, Levi, Jesse, and Elianna.  In his spare time, Jason enjoys serving Hope Church, brewing beer and working on his farm.
